In 2024, the telematics and fleet management industries are rapidly growing and evolving due to new technologies, a focus on sustainability, and the need for greater efficiency. With rising fuel prices and stricter environmental regulations, fleet managers are increasingly adopting advanced telematics systems to optimize operations and reduce environmental impact. In this landscape, fuel monitoring systems and telematics have become especially important, helping fleets operate both economically and environmentally friendly.
2024: A milestone year for Escort Monitoring Systems
This year marks a major milestone for Escort Monitoring Systems as we celebrate two decades of innovation in telematics and fuel monitoring.
From humble beginnings in 2004 as a GPS system integrator, we have grown into a global powerhouse in the industry, renowned for pioneering wireless fuel level sensors with BLE technology and creating a diverse range of cutting-edge solutions.
As 2024 comes to an end, we reflect on a year defined by innovation, global expansion, and a steadfast commitment to empowering businesses across industries.
Innovations that set us apart
This year, we reached the last technology readiness level for our two groundbreaking products, actual systems were proven in an operational environment. Both sensors were developed in response to real-world challenges faced by our clients. In addition, we updated our app to make the installation process of FLS even quicker.
TD-Q fuel quality sensor
This sensor measures permittivity and detects impurities in transported fuel, providing unparalleled accuracy. The correction factor allows you to adjust your
calibration values in the case of:
- seasonal fuel change (winter diesel to summer or back),
- fuel change in the tank (diesel instead of gasoline),
- the presence of additives in the fuel,
- dilution of fuel with alcohols, acetone, etc.
With the first batch currently in testing, TD-Q will officially launch in Q1 in 2025.
TD-Online sensor
Our expanded presence in the African market and Latin America has revealed the need for integrators for a fuel level sensor with integrated GPS. A versatile 3-in-1 solution that integrates fuel monitoring, GPS tracking, and can collect data from up to 10 Escort sensors. This sensor reduces installation time and safeguards vital data, making it a game-changer for fleet managers.
Mathematical calibration
Tank calibrating is the most time-consuming stage of sensor installation. To speed up the process and make the work of integrators easier, we have implemented a new feature in the configurator application – automatic calibration.
The Escort mobile app allows users to select the type of container, enter the dimensions and size of the sensor, and the app automatically creates the calibration table. Three forms of containers are available for now:
- a tank in the form of a parallelepiped
- a cylindrical container with flat bottoms
- a cylindrical container with torispherical bottoms
Expanding global horizons
In 2024, we continued to grow our presence worldwide, reaching new markets and industries. Our company welcomed over 100 new customers, including system integrators across Africa, Latin America, APAC, the Middle East, and Europe.
Geographical expansion:
We established a strong foothold in East Africa. Our workshops in Kenya brought together integrators and industry experts to share insights and introduce our latest technologies. We are planning to organise such events on a regular basis across the world.We are actively integrating our sensors with a large number of Chinese companies such as Howen Technologies, Meitrack, Naturelink, etc. Now our equipment can be easily installed into the fleet management system with MDVR’s and trackers.
- We established a strong foothold in East Africa. Our workshops in Kenya brought together integrators and industry experts to share insights and introduce our latest technologies. We are planning to organise such events on a regular basis across the world.
- We are actively integrating our sensors with a large number of Chinese companies such as Howen Technologies, Meitrack, Naturelink, etc. Now our equipment can be easily installed into the fleet management system with MDVR’s and trackers.
- We have further strengthened our positions in the CIS countries, especially actively expanding our customer base in Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. One of the successful projects in this region was our support in the implementation of the state project “Azerbaijan Railways”.
- For the successful work of integrators in the EU countries with our sensors, we have received an ATEX certificate for our wireless fuel level sensor. We expanded the boundaries of application and met the European standards of explosion-proof equipment.
- We were happy to launch a new dedicated Technical Support Division that is now operating in the regions of the Middle East and Africa.
Today, our products are trusted in 123 countries across 5 continents, a testament to the global impact of our solutions.
